Thanks to the attention of a fellow deviant , I looked this one over, then decided to clean it up a bit.
Here's my first visualization of the ending of "Requiem", from the 1980s Animated Series. FYI, the final episode never aired or materialized.
A beam of light appears ahead of the pupils. Here, we see surprise, then glee, on the kids' faces, as the portal home starts to appear. But not like many times in the past, when they had to hurry or it would close. The kids have finally fulfilled their mission; they have set the prisoners in the Realm free. Now they must choose....
Ever a fan of the show, going to try animate this scene within the year. To hear my script read of the final minute of this episode, check it out here [link]
Art/color: me. Script by Michael Reaves. Dungeons and Dragons and all of its characters are trademarks and property of (was Marvel, but is now) Hasbro-Wizards of the Coast.

oh my god! I love this show! And I was SOOO upset when they never came out with the final episode! I love your interpretation here! Good job! Thank you for drawing this. I gasped when I say it in my deviations list!
Thank you for your kind word. This is a small part of the project. A huge fan of the show like you, I'm drawing the frames and voicing the characters to animate my idea of the whole episode this year. Why not subscribe to my Youtube channel ([link]), where you can track the progress of my interpretation of the unproduced episode "Requiem". You can track it on my dA page, too.
