1/12/14: Working on some 'Exit Avengers' concept art for the start of the film. Here's a snapshot.
Avengers sketch I by j3px

Making art concept for a fan Loki film.
Because I'm one who believes there should one.
Check for updates and soon-to-come animatic.

2/15/14: It just dawned on me about the concept art that I've been working on....as I'm drawing more Hogun animation frames for this animatic. the irony of this discovery is that I didn't include any Hogun in this first test and its been almost a year... and just in November last year we were robbed ne Hogun time in Thor the dark world. almost as ironic is the fact that I'd only drawn one picture of Fandral and a handful of Volstagg. in the dark world movie, the amount of screen time they'd gotten in the dark world movie seems to correspond with the amount of time I put them in my animatic. total coincidence I know, but when you think about it, it's rather strange, isn't it? :-)

3/3/2014. I'm still working hard on the next pencil test, with new scenes, more action, and some acting, too. Nearly a year and 2,000 frames since the first one, there's more to see, with more characters, and a few neat surprises.
3/20: Still at it.
*5/17/14. I'll start scanning new frames today. This may take all day to do (2,359 frames)*

Concept Art: Loki concept art pencil test 1.0 by j3px

Script Concept is being developed. Taking place right after the Avengers, Loki must now face Asgardian Justice at Odin's hands. Odin strips Loki of his power and banishes him to New York, where he must cope with its mortal dangers. Armed with not much more than his brilliant intellect, Loki must use his wits to survive, while crafting a way to regain his adoptive dad's good graces.

While on Earth, Loki is summoned to help secure another item from Odin's Trophy room, in exchange for his old powers back and his eternal allegiance. But Loki's price is greater than that... isn't it?

Loki is after the Orb of Agamotto at the request of another, more powerful sorcerer. This short takes place after the events in The Avengers, but separate from Thor: The Dark World.

Time VERY well spent, my friend!  Your time and effort shows in everything from the one-eyed Odin to the detailing on the mask Loki is being forced to wear to the score.

Thank you, the artist formerly known as Motokok. :) There's more I hope to show in an update hopefully this weekend. It's a fight sequence and that's all I'll say for now. :happybounce:

There is certain "Epic" scope to your work and the characters seem quite authentic. (One-eyed Odin, etc.) The animations show good down-to-Earth "characters in the frame" positioning which of course follows the rules of proven and orthodox direction techniques. My only concern here is a more general one which I have alluded to in other critiques. That is; an overall tendency to overly anthropomorphize Mythic personalities. Loki was a Frost Giant, adopted by Odin as a kindness and quasi-political measure. Now of course it is only natural for the Norsemen, even as the Greeks, to model the Gods as idealized images of themselves but the "Titans" (whom supposedly came first) were imagined and portrayed quite differently. Frost Giant = Titan? hmmm...

Very good work...

Cool! Your drawings are great; they look just like the actors! I wish I could draw as well for my Loki project.

Thank you for the kind word. This kind of effort takes forever to draw and animate. Do you see the last time I updated? April :P

I can imagine. But it was worth all the time you spent working on it!
